Add a task.
It gets taken by the fox.

An automated macOS task control centre for your AI agents — quietly handling projects and tasks as you add them.
Kanban boards, multiple agents, all running locally

You drop it in. The fox picks it up.

1

Drop in your projects

Point tooko at a folder, pick an AI agent, set your guardrails. Client work, side hustle, personal — each gets its own board.

2

Add tasks from anywhere

At your desk or on the sofa. Drop in tasks, half-formed thoughts, full briefs — the agent picks them up automatically.

3

Come back to done

The fox works quietly in the background. Check in when you feel like it — review what changed, refine, or just move on.

Multiple projects. Each with its own agents.

Tasks come in from your phone. tooko picks them up and gets to work.

Sit on the sofa.
Prompt from your phone.

tooko runs on your Mac (it does need to be on/not asleep!), but you don't need to be at your desk. Open it on any device on the same WiFi — phone, tablet — and manage all your projects from wherever you are.

Kick back on the sofa with your phone. Add todos to your client project, switch to your side hustle, fire off a few more. The agents keep working on everything in parallel while you relax.

Same WiFi. No setup.
tooko

Your Mac does the heavy lifting. Your phone is just the remote.

Your whole fleet, one click away.

Start, stop, and monitor from the menu bar.

tooko also has a macOS menu bar. One click opens the control panel — see which projects are running, how many tasks are in queue, and start or pause agents instantly.

No need to open the full app. Glance at the tray icon to see if your agents are busy. It's like having a tiny mission control always within reach.

Everything you need. Nothing you don't.

Circuit breaker

If an agent fails repeatedly, tooko trips the circuit breaker and pauses automatically. No runaway loops, no burnt tokens.

Full task timeline

Every agent action, note, and state change is logged. See exactly what the AI did, when it did it, and what it said.

Smart retry

Blocked tasks get a one-click retry. The agent re-claims, re-runs, and reports back — no manual reshuffling needed.

Export everything

Download your tasks as JSON, CSV, or Markdown — complete with notes, status history, and metadata. Your data is always yours.

Acceptance criteria

Define clear criteria for every task. Agents see them, humans review against them, and done means done.

Plan mode

Not ready to commit? Run agents in read-only plan mode — they analyse and propose, but don't touch your codebase.

Agent output captured

When a task completes, the agent's full summary — files changed, tests run, outcome — is saved as a note. No more wondering what happened.

Dry-run preview for first use

Before your very first prompt we'll show you an overview—what you're sending to the agent before a single file is touched.

Safe mode by default

New projects start with AI intake off. Tasks go to On Hold until you explicitly turn on the agents. No surprises on day one.

Add to home screen

Install the tooko website on your iPhone home screen — instant launch, offline fallback, no app store needed. Works on any device with a browser.

Local doesn't mean careless.

Everything runs on your Mac — no cloud, no servers. But local doesn't mean unguarded. tooko has security woven into every layer.

Project-level PIN protection

Every project gets a 4-digit PIN by default. Creating, editing, and deleting tasks all require it. Agents bypass it automatically with a secure key — humans don't.

Failed attempts lock the project temporarily. Brute-force protection is built in, not bolted on.

Per-project guardrails

Each project has its own policy file controlling exactly what the AI can touch — filesystem roots, command allow-lists, git operations, network access. You define the sandbox.

01

Local-first

Your data stays on your Mac. Nothing leaves your machine without your say. No cloud dependency, no data harvesting.

Privacy-first
02

Calm by design

No notifications, no urgency badges, no anxiety. Check in when you feel like it. Your pace, not the machine's.

Zero noise
03

Multiple projects, multiple agents

Run your client work, side hustle, and personal projects simultaneously — each with its own AI agent. Complex orchestration that feels like nothing at all.

Got questions? The fox has answers.

A macOS AI task control centre for you to add simple todo's/prompts, then AI agents automatically work on them, in kanban-style task boards. You assign AI agents per project, and they work quietly in the background. Think of it as mission control for your AI workflows — local, private, and always running (as long as your mac is awake).
Nope. tooko runs on your Mac, but you can prompt from any device on the same WiFi — phone, tablet, whatever. Add it to your iPhone home screen for instant access. Kick back on the sofa and keep the agents busy.
Everything runs locally on your Mac with regards to tooko — nothing extra leaves your machine, for the most part it's like you were directly prompting your AI agent (who can of course talk to the internet, but that's whether you were using tooko or not). Each project has its own policy file with filesystem sandboxing, command allow-lists, and network controls. New projects start in safe mode with AI off. Plus there's dry-run preview, plan mode, and a circuit breaker that auto-pauses if things go sideways.
tooko ships with built-in Codex automation and auto-detects popular CLIs — Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT desktop, OpenAI CLI. You can also plug in any custom command runner. Each project can use a different agent and model.
Unlimited (until your computer starts to smoke at least). Client work, side hustle, personal — each gets its own board, its own agent, its own guardrails. Run them all in parallel. The fox doesn't get tired.
The circuit breaker auto-pauses a project after repeated failures. You can run agents in read-only plan mode first. Enable dry-run preview before execution to get a safer experience. And every action is logged in a full timeline — so you always know exactly what happened.
We're in early access right now. Join the waitlist and you'll be the first to know when tooko launches — and what the pricing looks like. We're building something worth paying for.
No. Zero cloud dependencies. We do check for updates, which requires a minor connection. And of course whatever your normal AI agents do that we don't control, but on top of that, we aren't adding any extra network activity. Your data stays on your Mac. The only network activity is between your devices on the same WiFi, then the AI agents and the web if they choose to do so, but that'd be no different if you were prompting the agent directly.
